In 2004 at the Virtual Reference Desk conference, AskUsNow! was presented with this "Exemplary Service Award" for "defining quality digital reference service on the internet." The award was presented to Joe Thompson, then Statewide Coordinator, by David Lankes of the iSchool at Syracuse University.
