Liaison Meeting Ground Rules

  1. Let one person speak per discussion at a time, unless otherwise stated by the leader of the discussion.
  2. Treat differences as informative and vital towards moving forward with the discussions..
  3. Facts and opinions are free to give.
  4. Stay to the agenda as best as possible.  Be flexible on giving more time to topics that are more urgent to the partners than others.
  5. Welcome new attendees and speakers.  They need are utmost attention.
  6. Your contribution is important. Please join in the discussions.
  7. Feel free to take a break even if it is not officially the "break time."  A few minutes to reenergize will make a difference.
  8. Be prepared to leave the meeting with a to-do list.
  9. Continue to discuss the agenda items with the AUN Statewide Coordinator, post-Liaison Meeting.
  10. Have fun!  Even when agenda items are difficult or challenging to discuss, embrace the opportunity to speak freely and proudly represent your library.
