It's Party Time!

In honor of 10 amazing years, hundreds of thousands of customers, and our amazing (current and former) librarians, we want to gather for a little fun!

Parking may fill up - BUT you WILL be allowed in IF you have these details noting that you are with a pre-paid group:

Group Name: Maryland AskUsNow!
Group Contact Person: Julie Strange
Shelter Name: Raccoon

Parking is limited in the East Beach Area. We highly recommend car-pooling. Entrance to the East Beach parking is restricted to the number of vehicles designated for each shelter. Extra parking is available in other areas of the park. You will have an entry charge of $5.00 per person (Maryland Residents) and $7.00 per person (Out of State), which is paid at the contact station upon entry into the Park.  Children under the age of 8 (if they are in a regulation car or booster seat) are admitted free of charge. Anyone 62 and older with a “Golden Age Pass” will be admitted free also.  If they do not have a pass they may pay a one time fee of $10.00 for the pass which is good indefinitely for entry into any Maryland State Park.

Food: If you haven't already, please note what you are bringing. We don't have the $ to cater this, so we're doing it potluck style! See comments on this page for details.

Alcohol: is permitted.

Games & Music: games are allowed. bouncy castles and other carnival-style games (much to Julie's chagrin) are NOT allowed. Julie will be bringing the lawn darts. Anyone have horseshoes? Bean bag toss? Frisbee? Amplification of sound (DJ’s, Bands, PA system) is prohibited.  A small radio or CD player is permitted as long as the speakers are attached to the unit.

Pets: Not allowed, sorry.

Our pavilion has 12 picnic tables, charcoal grills, open play area, playground, drinking water, 20amp electric service, lights, and paved access for persons with disabilities.

The park itself offers a Basketball Net/Court, boat Launch, Boat Rental, Boating, Comfort Station, Concession, Crabbing, Fishing, Hiking, Horseshoes, Marina Store, Parking, Playground, Ranger Station, Restrooms, Showers, Swimming, Volleyball, and Windsurfing/Sailboarding.

Friends and family are welcome! How many will you bring? (ex, note 6 if you're coming with yourself, your partner, and your 4 kids)

* We ask that all AUN persons RSVP for themselves individually. If you're driving with 3 other librarians, please just rsvp for yourself. *

Tell us what org you are or were affiliated with when doing AUN!
