Nominate your Rockstar Librarians!
Four times a year, a handful of AskUsNow! providers will be selected by the Stellar Transcript Review Team (STRT) for recognition as ‘Rockstars’, based on their outstanding service in a chat session. We need Liaisons to let us know about the outstanding transcripts they see in their regular review of transcripts, and we need Providers to consider self-nominating themselves when they feel that they have had a particular excellent transaction.
What constitutes the work of a ‘Rockstar’ Librarian?
These are the qualities we will be considering when we review nominations. Under each heading are some examples of what might qualify:
1. PERSONAL CONNECTION
- uses the customer's name.
- expresses interest in the customer's question.
- mirrors the customer's tone (i.e.: use of emoticons, self deprecating remarks, etc.)
2. CREATIVE PROBLEM SOLVING
- finds ways around perceived barriers
3. ABOVE AND BEYOND THE ANSWER
- moves the question, not the customer (ie- making a phone call to get the answer instead of suggesting the customer calls)
4. PROCESS INCLUSION AND EDUCATION
- includes the customer in the process and they work together towards the customer's goal.
- takes advantage of teachable moments.
How/When can I send a transcript in for consideration?

What do the Rockstars win?
Providers who are recognized as ‘Rock Stars’ will receive recognition on the Inner Harbor site and at MLA (not to mention a nice write-up for their supervisor!). There may also be some prizes involved!
