FY 18: Maryland AskUsNow! Statistical Sampling

Starting in July 2017, we will be in our third year of the "Maryland AskUsNow! Statistical Sampling" project.  We will be collecting the following data during our chat hours from Maryland AskUsNow! and Global chat customers:  the number of chat questions that we receive in each chat session.  This is chat volume data that we can effectively collect and report at the statewide level using the READ Scale.

AskUsNow! Toolkit and Lesson Plan for K-12/Homeschool and College/University Educators and Students

For the 2017-2018 school year, we have 1) updated the AskUsNow! toolkits, and 2) created an AskUsNow! Lesson Plan.  

 

Toolkit

The toolkit helps educators introduce their students to AskUsNow! and prepare students to access and use the service effectively for their research projects at any hour of the day.

Urgent Update: Discontinuing the Collecting and Reporting of Statewide, Descriptive Codes

Effective Friday, 7/1/16, AskUsNow! Admins will discontinue collecting and reporting Descriptive Code data at the Statewide Level.  We are taking this immediate step to focus our efforts on Statistical Sampling as the data collection model that will be most uniformed and aligned to the federal guidelines that all Maryland libraries have to follow starting in July 2016.
